Resting Up.

I’m meant to be boxing tonight, but a combination of injury and illness is holding me back…

For the last few months, I’ve been having trouble with my left elbow which, as far as I can tell, has resulted in some form of trapped or pinched nerve. This has been making things difficult… For the last couple of days, I have also been incapable of turning my head very far left or right, as my neck has more or less seized up on the left hand side.

Luckily, I can keep up some kind of training because I don’t need my arms or neck to run. As long as my legs and lungs are in decent shape, I can keep it up! It is especially unfortunate, therefore, that I have also developed some kind of lung problem, which means I spend a good hour or so coughing up bloody mucus every morning. If you think that sounds nasty, you should hear the process itself!

Sooooo…seized neck, buggered elbow and lungs filled with blood and phlegm. Not exactly the fighting machine, am I?

For this reason, I am resting today and shall continue to do for a few days more, or at least until I can breathe and move around normally again.

Ed Gamester is a silly man who lives in the United Kingdom. He is the harbinger of Ghost Squad, singer of Gay Bum and author of A Rum Run Awry. He fights, kills and dies for TV and films, and gallivants around the place wrestling, drinking and lifting things for glory and profit. Where Ed treads, there stamp the boots of the Guild. Ed does not wear glasses, but feels this photograph makes him look more intelligent and artistically talented than he is. Feel free to contact him: he is disappointingly affable.
