Rise of Los Nordicos

This Friday was my debut at Lucha Britannia.

As far as I’m concerned, London School of Lucha Libre is the greatest wrestling school in Europe and Lucha Britannia is the greatest regular wrestling show (even though it’s technically a caberet night) in Europe, too.

Having been a student of LSLL for over two years, being put on their card – which only happens when they deem you read – is a massive deal for me. Massive.

For my tag partner, who has been documenting his rise to pro wrestling for over two years, this was an equally big deal. In fact, as his overall pro wrestling debut – it was an even more monumental event!

So it was that, to a sold out Resistance Gallery packed full of our friends, family and colleagues, we both made our Lucha Britannia debut – and didn’t fuck it up!

Los Nordicos RISE!

I’m now faced with that bizarre feeling. A feeling that something has come to an end when, really, it’s just the beginning. I know that sounds lame and contrived, but I’ve wanted to be on this show for so long that I never looked beyond what would happen when I finally made it on…

I guess now I start to learn!

About the Author
Ed Gamester is a silly man who lives in the United Kingdom. He is the harbinger of Ghost Squad, singer of Gay Bum and author of A Rum Run Awry. He fights, kills and dies for TV and films, and gallivants around the place wrestling, drinking and lifting things for glory and profit. Where Ed treads, there stamp the boots of the Guild. Ed does not wear glasses, but feels this photograph makes him look more intelligent and artistically talented than he is. Feel free to contact him: he is disappointingly affable.
