A Pain in the Arse. Literally.
Yesterday was legs day at the gym. Having read an interesting article on leg development (and because I require endurance for my half marathon), I decided to take down the weight and go for a higher number of reps.

The result – I could barely even walk this morning. Success! (?)
…granted, it didn’t’ help that I woke up on a sofa.
The killer leg routine was:
Squats at 40, 60, 80 and 90kg (high reps)
Front squats at 60kg (mid-reps)
Leg extensions at 50kg (high and mid reps)
Leg curls at 40kg (mid reps)(I then did some lateral and front dumbbell raises…you know…for fun)
Simple, but highly effective.
The night was spent drinking rum and celebrating with friends in London (hence the sofa). It was one last group hoorah before Will (my brother) leaves for 3 months. He is going to travel the world. I am not jealous. Not at all jealous.
We ended up going to a metal night (which turned out to be metalcore – urg) whilst wearing beach attire. I’d like to say we weren’t the only ones…
The flier said beach attire. Apparently.
Anyway, tonight we are seeing a Pink Floyd tribute band in Oxford. I am exhausted, but certain it will rock.
