Oh the Pain!
On Saturday, I decided against my usual gym routine of heavy weights and, instead, did just 2 sets of not-brilliant bench presses. I spent the rest of the time doing press-ups (etc), punching and kicking the punch bag and generally exhausting myself through body weight exercise.
Today I am in agony. Walking is tough, coughing is painful and lifting my left arm is excruciating .
I have had some kind of victory over my body. I have defeated it.
I should go to the gym at the weekends more often – less time drinking, more time hitting things.
