Blood and Iron

Today is the birthday of my brother in blood and my brother in iron. To honour them, I must perform a feat thus far unparalleled in my short existence. I must do something that terrifies me to the centre of my being. Today, I shall conquer gravity itself.

Busrush

I wake to a hum of pain about my body. Now it is 07:30; time to rise and cleanse myself, before packing my bags and collecting up my beer for a 09:00 bus. It will take nine hours to reach my next destination.

In Jail in Christchurch

The Jailhouse hostel could not be any more different from the Arts Factory if it had been specifically designed as a crash-out room for tripping hippies. As it happens, it pretty much was! This is a historical jail, where they would hold convicted criminals prior to sentencing...

Coffee. A Nearly Tragic Tale.

We have come to a Jaques coffee planation, where we are being treated to hot coffee, cold coffee, ice cream coffee, chocolate cheesecake, Tiramasu, chocolate coated coffee beans, coffee liquor and a film about how the plantation came to be. It is incredible.
